I suck at goodbye ...

I suck at good bye, period.

Recently few of my friends decided to end their stint in this island for good. One of them is my best comrade in the office, and the other is one of the Bension's Fellowship of Kinabalu. While they both have shared, in one way or another, their concern of staying put and their plan of leaving for quite some time. The reality sunk in this weekend when one of them left and the other closing to do the same in about a week time. I couldn't stop to think of how lucky (and brave) they are to be able to find a courage (and/or opportunity) to move on.

As much as I want to say something wise to them, I couldn't think of any. So guys, good luck, all the best, and thanks for everything. Let's keep in touch and I believe our path will cross again earlier than what any of us have thought (or hoped) it would be.

... to dear Tyty and Erbe for their first daughter, Aurielle, born on 5th of June 2007, 6.25PM SGT, 2.88kg, 47cm. Mom and baby are OK and daddy is as amazed as ever.

K-log #7: The turning point ...

For most people, climbing mountain does not make any sense. Why should one climb a mountain only to go down afterward. I was one of those people before. This journey, however, make me somewhat a believer.

On the way up to the base camp, there were occasions where I almost gave up. My leg were aching and I could barely breath. At one point where I no longer have any mood to move on, my traveling Kaki suggested me to take a break. Grumbling, I obliged to sit with him in a rock facing the direction where i came from.

My "Panda ngengeng" mode uncontrollably kicked in. Its a view that I will never forget. The sun almost set, and we basically sat on the edge of a cliff beyond the clouds. I felt like I am on the top of the world (well definitely much higher than Bukit Timah to mind you). Scrambling to hide my tears, I pull out my camera and pretending to snap some shots. It was a tough journey (at least for me), but the view simply worth all the pain. Reaching there in my own will and strength was a bonus.

Suatu hari Hairi melepaskan seekor cicak yang menjadi uji kaji vaksin terbaru yang telah termasuk ke dalam minumannya. Pada masa yang sama, kota Metrofulus telah dilanda satu virus menyebabkan Profesor Klon tampil dengan vaksin keluarannya. Hairi dan Danny mengesyaki ada datang dalam Klon Technologies yang telah menyebarkan virus tersebut. Bagi mendapatkan kepastian, dua sahabat itu telah menyelinak ke dalam bilik Profesor Klon dengan menggunakan pas kerja setiausahanya, Tania. Dalam pada itu, Hairi mula merasakan perubahan dirinya yang bersifat seperti seekor cicak dengan mengeluarkan bunyi yang aneh. Namun di sebalik keanehan itu, Hairi mendapati dirinya mempunyai kebolehan menakjubkan apabila dia mampu memanjat dinding dan menangkap sesuatu objek dengan mengunkan lidahnya yang panjang.
