Lots of drama ..

The showdown between Indonesia and Singapore last night is simply dramatic.

The game was started with a bunch of CISCO officers ushered an overly dramatic Singaporean fans (that was continuously taunting) to "save" him from the Indonesian crowds next door. Lot of "organized" Kallang roars (and waves) from Singapore fans followed by "Bantai Singapore" and "Wasit Goblog" chanting from our own :)! The number of players in and off the field kept on changing with so many incidents on the game, with Indonesia occasionally have 12 players in the field (yes, you heard it right and I think only Indonesia can pull that off).


While Singapore complained of poor refereeing that allow Indonesia to play with 12 people in the field, they also hurt us by allowing lot of Singapore offside attacked. So all in all I guess the referee team could not decide which team to support throughout the game. Refereeing aside, it was a good match. The game was concluded with two poor (or they would say "soft") Singapore's goals and two great Indonesia goals. Unfortunately with Vietnam huge goal margin on their game with Laos, Indonesia have to be ousted from the competition :(.


All in all the atmosphere was majestic. Although I can't say that I am awfully proud of my nationality (most of the time), the national anthem sung at the end of the game gave me an eerie feeling and a reminder of who we are. This is the first "live" game that I watch, and I doubt that it will be the last.

Low carb burger

... its a burger, NO its a salad, NO its a Carl's Junior low carb burger!!

You are dying to bite that burger but worried about all the carbs? Here is a neat trick for you, just replace the bun with a bunch of lettuce!

Verdict: Not as disgusting as I thought it would be (although the lettuce is much much more than one in the above picture). I found that it was actually quite refreshing and nice. The lesser guilty feeling that came with it is a big plus point. Maybe I will give it a try again in the future :) ..

Ten things that kept me happy in 2006

Mr/Mrs Dodol kicked off the new year by distributing home work :( ..

As I don't want to be removed from their invite list, below are things that kept me happy (and sometime sane) in 2006 :) ..

1. Nyak Panda: For being you and letting me to be me :) .. Luv ya!
   
2. My iPod (hear it world .. my OWN iPod): after eying it for many-many years, Princess surprised me by giving me an 80GB one on my b'day! I believe the last time I had my own portable player was when my Mom gave up and bought us each a Walkman (and that was donkey years ago) .. really love it :)!
   
3. HK Disneyland: My parents are those who love their children "too" much, never spend for themselves (even on things that they can actually afford), and always save for the rainy days. We rarely know what they really want. I do, however, recall that my Mom always wants to go to Disneyland. Although, by all means, HK Disneyland is not the world's best nor is my favorite, I am really glad that I managed to bring them there last year.
   
4. Weddings/Babies: So many weddings and so many babies and babies to be :) from friends and relatives ..
   
5. Friends: You know who you are :) ..
   
6. Neverending mamam-mamam: I believe last year we ate a LOT! With everyone continously seeking for excuses, it's no doubt that we seemed to always have reasons to mamam-mamam. How I wish my BMI has nothing to do with these activities :) ..
   
7. Fantasy Football: For keeping me entertained throughout the year with all the research, bragging, and late night footballs.
   
8. Blog/Friendster: I was new to blog world and really enjoyed reading/posting blogs and the "stocking-stocking" activities that came with it last year :) ..
   
9. Reality, Travel, Cooking and other afternoon shows: Jamie, Nigella, Curtis, Ben and Oprah. Thanks for keeping me entertained in the afternoon and inspired me to cook and to travel.
   
10. Flexwork: As much as I hate the pay and all the stupid things that I have to do in my job, I guess I should be thankful for its flexible working hour that allowed me to multitask between work, the above mentioned shows and other "domestic" task.

There you go, the top 10 things I loved in 2006. As most of my blog-friends are already listed by others to do theirs, I will just pass the task to anyone who read this blog and has not been assigned by others :)!
